I used to think that diesel directly got into the engine where a compressor attracted the air and shot it at the diesel causing it to combust and generate power

The animation is actually not wrong. The intercooler is in front of the the radiator with the same size.

That background music is so so so irritating.....

How i think: Air Mixed With Fuel Goes down to Pistons Then Explodes and then the Smoke Coming out through filter and then from exhaust. Yes?

Where is the radiator??. For turbocharged vehicle with higher displacement and big turbos intercoolers are required to reduce intake air temperature. But the engine doesn't work on an intercooler alone.
